A little gem named 'Le fabuleux destin d'amélie poulain.'

I should have written about this masterpiece a long time ago. Alright, better late than never, right?

Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain ("The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain") is a French film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and written by Jeunet with Guillaume Laurant, the film is a whimsical depiction of contemporary Parisian life, set in Montmartre. It tells the story of a shy waitress, played by Audrey Tautou who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better, while struggling with her own isolation. The film was an international co-production between companies in France and Germany.

Amélie Poulain is a young woman who has grown up isolated from other children. Her father is an ex.military man and her mother is a nurse. Unlike other parents they were very strict to her and Amilie suffers in isolation even without having friends.
As a young woman, Amélie is a waitress in The Two Windmills, which is a small Montmartre café, run by a former circus performer. The café is staffed and frequented by a gang of eccentrics.
At age 23, having spurned romantic relationships following a few failed efforts, Amélie dedicates her life to simple pleasures, such as dipping her hand into sacks of grain, cracking crème brûlée with a teaspoon, skipping stones across St. Martin's Canal, guessing how many couples in Paris are having an orgasm at one moment and letting her imagination roam free. From an interesting incident of finding the memories of an old man of his child age she believes that making others happy by hiding herself hiding makes her happy and makes there guarding angel. She solves many other's troubles by showing them their small and finest happiness. Then she meets her man Nino who has the same pasts like Amilie. Artist Dufayel helps her to overcome her shyness and atlast they live happily ever after.

You have to experience each and every scene of this film and feel the pleasure by yourself. Perfect cast and music background. Camera and narration are the main plus for this film. Talking about Audrey Tautou ... she is the real angel and mine too. Nino and the artist 's characters excel other than Amilie's. I'm pretty sure that after watching this beautiful movie you'll experience a lot of change in you which is gonna be a permanent one.
