WHAT IS METAL WITHOUT GOTHIC

How can you see into my eyes like open doors?
Leading you down into my core where I’ve become so numb
Without a soul my spirit's sleeping somewhere cold
until you find it there and lead it back home

Have a hunch about the above song lyrics?
Not yet?
This song ‘Bring Me to Life’ grabbed a Grammy for its most popular music band- Evanescence. Just as the name of the band suggests, all the songs set a meaning of hope and bring a sensational feeling to the ears.
Blending metal and gothic, an ironical genre of today’s music, produces a breathtaking composition, making everyone go gaga.

Evanescence was initially tuned-up with Ben Moody, David Hodges, Rocky Gray, John LeCompt and Will Boyd. Later, they were replaced and came into life by award-winning artists: Amy Lee, Terry Balsoma, TimMcCord, Troy McLawhorn and Wilhunt. The band’s outgrowth procured its popularity once again.
Having released more than 25 million albums, their gigs also turn out to be an opportunity for their success.
The band is all geared-up to rock their shows this year at South Caroline, Georgia and other places.

THE DIRTY PICTURE FEATURES NURSERY RHYME

Who said nursery rhymes are only for kids? Here is the song "Twinkle Twinkle" from the movie "The Dirty Picture", directed by Milan Luthria. This film, casting Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi, Vicky and Tusshar kapoor, emphasizes the life story of the actress, Silk Smitha.
The duo of music directors, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani has composed five tracks, which includes "Ooh La La", "Ishq Sufiana" (Male version), "Ishq Sufiana" (Female version), "Honeymoon Ki Raat" and "Twinkle Twinkle”.  Rajat Aroraa, who has been the script-writer for the films Taxi No9 2 11(2006), Chandni Chowk to China (2009), Once Upon A Time in Mumbai (2010) and The Dirty Picture (2011), now proves to be the lyricist for this film. His long-term dream of being a lyrics writer has now come true.
“It was very nice of Vishal-Shekhar to give me a chance to write the lyrics too. When I came to Mumbai I wanted to write lyrics,” said Aroraa. “Because I have written the scripts so writing lyrics was a natural progression as I knew the characters, their feelings and situations so well,” he added.

YO BOYS ! I AM SING SONG, SOUP SONG, FLOP SONG

“Why this Kolaveri Kolaveri Kolaveri Di” is a song, which reached almost 4.5 million views on its official Youtube buzz. Dhanush, the actor of the latest movie Mayakkam Enna, is now on a roll with the movie 3, which is yet to be released. The movie 3’s song “Why this Kolaveri Kolaveri Kolaveri Di” was sung and written by Dhanush, while Anirudh Ravichander, the nephew of Rajnikanth, composed it.

The director of this movie, Aishwarya Dhanush says that the song was tuned in 20 minutes and Dhanush took over the flow of the song and filled his lyrics. It seems the song got in so popular mainly because of its catchy tunes and lyrics which have got a mix of Tamil and English (Tanglish). The song not only impressed Tamilians, but non- Tamilians too.  Dhanush, while eagerly awaiting reviews for his movie ‘Mayakkam Enna’, enjoys the score of “Why this Kolaveri Kolaveri Kolaveri Di.”

A little gem named 'Le fabuleux destin d'amélie poulain.'

I should have written about this masterpiece a long time ago. Alright, better late than never, right?

Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain ("The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain") is a French film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and written by Jeunet with Guillaume Laurant, the film is a whimsical depiction of contemporary Parisian life, set in Montmartre. It tells the story of a shy waitress, played by Audrey Tautou who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better, while struggling with her own isolation. The film was an international co-production between companies in France and Germany.

Amélie Poulain is a young woman who has grown up isolated from other children. Her father is an ex.military man and her mother is a nurse. Unlike other parents they were very strict to her and Amilie suffers in isolation even without having friends.
As a young woman, Amélie is a waitress in The Two Windmills, which is a small Montmartre café, run by a former circus performer. The café is staffed and frequented by a gang of eccentrics.
At age 23, having spurned romantic relationships following a few failed efforts, Amélie dedicates her life to simple pleasures, such as dipping her hand into sacks of grain, cracking crème brûlée with a teaspoon, skipping stones across St. Martin's Canal, guessing how many couples in Paris are having an orgasm at one moment and letting her imagination roam free. From an interesting incident of finding the memories of an old man of his child age she believes that making others happy by hiding herself hiding makes her happy and makes there guarding angel. She solves many other's troubles by showing them their small and finest happiness. Then she meets her man Nino who has the same pasts like Amilie. Artist Dufayel helps her to overcome her shyness and atlast they live happily ever after.

You have to experience each and every scene of this film and feel the pleasure by yourself. Perfect cast and music background. Camera and narration are the main plus for this film. Talking about Audrey Tautou ... she is the real angel and mine too. Nino and the artist 's characters excel other than Amilie's. I'm pretty sure that after watching this beautiful movie you'll experience a lot of change in you which is gonna be a permanent one.

Death In Gaza - An extent of what a journalist could do !!!

"Death In Gaza" is a distressing documentary which portrays the violent horrors of the Israeli conflict and the resulting death of it's director/cameraman James Miller. According to me, this documentary is the most powerful one ever made, not only because a man gave up his life to make this documentary, but also the fact that it showcases the lifestyle of one of the cruelest and weapon filled lands about which only few of us are aware. If you watch this documentary, at least once, you would realize how the word 'luck' plays a major role in all of our lives.

You get to watch the lives of Israeli children and the interview of a little girl whose parents and five brothers were killed and buried somewhere unknown. Her innocent smile would haunt the viewers for days. We have everything, a decent job, good friends, safe place to call home and a caring family. But seeing really small children getting trained with complicated machine guns introduce us to a world of labyrinth.

Throughout the film, distant cries and gun shots were heard. Someone is always getting murdered brutally, someone is always pleading for their life, little children create riots by throwing small stones at the marching tanks and topping all of this a single shot on a night filled with confusion and danger kills James Miller.

James Miller was a journalist turned filmmaker/cameraman . In 1995, he joined the Frontline News collective as cameraman, producer, and director. He reported from the vicious civil war in Algeria and from most of the world's major trouble spots. Since 1995 he workied for CNN and for all the leading news broadcasters in Britain. Prior filming Death In Gaza, he did several other documentaries which earned him many Emmy Awards.

Miller always fought for causes. He was always keen on shedding light to social issues and problems which are faced by many
underprivileged people and still not solved or not even known to many of us. His documentary "
Children of the Secret State " is about the homeless North Korean orphans.

The film brought out the issue well in public. "Children of the Secret State" gave many orphans, a place to call home and people to call family. Miller always worked with Saira Shah, even in "Death In Gaza", with whom he founded and operated an independent production company called Frostbite Productions in 2001.

James Miller is the face of an ideal journalist. Even though he was a journalist turned filmmaker and cameraman, all of his movies, if one closely observes, are from a journalist's point of view. He took up a journalist's job to bring out the brutal social problems and he strove hard to find solutions. If you are a journalist, then be proud. If you have a passion to become a journalist, never deviate from your path or if you just love journalism, keep doing that, because journalism is the only profession where only passion matters and nothing else. It is for sure that Miller would be standing behind the success of every journalist who strive hard to make a difference in this society.
